Installing Oracle Database Client on a vanilla EC2 instance requires downloading the installer from Oracle, resolving library dependencies for your specific Linux distribution, configuring ORACLE_HOME and PATH variables, setting up tnsnames.ora, and validating connectivity. - Oracle licensing: This AMI contains the Oracle Database Client only. You must hold appropriate Oracle Database licenses or use Oracle Technology Network license terms for your database server connections.
