Overview
Resilio: The High-Performance Data Movement Platform
Resilio moves file data fast across the storage and infrastructure you already own. Peer-to-peer architecture and a WAN-optimized transport protocol keep servers in sync, push content to every site, and give remote users local-speed access to large files. No VPN. No migration. Your data never leaves your environment. One software agent and one management console cover three use cases:
Resilio Workspace: VPN-less access for hybrid teams Remote users work directly against the files on your file server, with no VPN tunnel in the path. The agent streams only the bytes the application requests and caches the rest under policies you set per location. Identity comes from Microsoft Entra ID or Okta, so the MFA and conditional access rules you already run govern file access, and the file server keeps enforcing its own NTFS permissions. Locks are held centrally and stay in sync with the filer, with lock state propagated in sub-second response times.
Resilio Replicate: multi-site server synchronization Replication is event driven, so changes propagate as they happen rather than waiting on a schedule. Transfers run in parallel across a peer-to-peer mesh with no hub and no master, so peers route around a failed endpoint and no single machine can stall a job. ACLs replicate alongside the data, and every job surfaces in one console.
Resilio Edge: reliable data movement to and from the edge Reaching a remote site is a network problem before it is a storage problem. Files move in small chunks, so an interrupted transfer resumes from the point of failure instead of starting over, and persistent retries keep working until it completes. Preference rules across VSAT, cellular, Wi-Fi, and broadband pick the best link available, and per-agent bandwidth limits by time of day keep the pipe clear when it matters. Every block is hash verified and files are assembled in a scratch area before they are published into place, so a partial or corrupted file is never exposed.
Why Resilio?
Centralized, hub-and-spoke architectures create bottlenecks at exactly the point where scale matters. Resilio takes a distributed approach in which every endpoint contributes bandwidth, so performance improves as your network grows rather than degrading.
Key Capabilities
- High-performance transfers at scale. uTP3 (Zero Gravity Transport) is a UDP-based WAN protocol with RTT-aware congestion control. It holds near-LAN performance over high-latency, lossy links and saturates whatever bandwidth exists.
- Works with your existing storage. Connect Nasuni, NetApp, Everpure, Azure Files, Amazon S3, and S3-compatible object storage. No migration, no downtime, no second copy of your data.
- Built-in resilience. Peers route around failed endpoints, and interrupted transfers resume from the point of failure rather than restarting the file. There is no single point of failure.
- The security you already built. End-to-end encryption with TLS and AES-256, mutual agent authentication, per-job keys, and forward secrecy. Existing NTFS and POSIX permissions are enforced and synchronized, never remodeled into a separate system. Resilio holds SOC 2 Type II and MPAA TPN Blue certifications.
- Automated data movement. A full REST API, scripting hooks, and built-in event analytics let you build active data movement workflows on the storage you already own.
Industry Use Cases
Manufacturing, media and entertainment, financial services, energy, engineering and construction, public sector, logistics, and technology. Most customers start with one use case and extend the same agents to the others.
Deploy on AWS
Resilio agents run on Amazon EC2 across Windows, Linux, macOS, and FreeBSD, and in Docker and Kubernetes. Connect Amazon S3 buckets directly through the storage connector for one-way or two-way sync. Because Resilio runs inside your own account and behind your own firewall, hybrid pipelines can span AWS, on-premises data centers, and edge locations without your data leaving your environment.
Proven at Enterprise Scale
More than 500 enterprises run Resilio in production, streaming, caching, and syncing exabytes of data across hundreds of thousands of servers, desktops, and edge devices. Resilio is part of Nasuni, the unstructured data foundation for enterprise teams and AI, and remains available standalone on the storage you already own.
Getting Started
Deploy an agent, point it at the storage you already have, and start moving data. No migration, no re-platforming, and no change to your permission model. Request a trial to see unified access to your files wherever they are stored.
Highlights
- Resilio Workspace: remote users open a multi-gigabyte CAD, BIM, or GIS project from home as fast as from the office, with no VPN in the path. Entra ID or Okta handles sign-in, the file server enforces its own permissions, and global file locking covers Windows and Mac.
- Resilio Replicate: near real-time replication across hundreds of file servers, application servers, and VDI profile stores, with ACLs intact.
- Resilio Edge: push builds, content, and configuration out to thousands of endpoints and pull data back over any network, including VSAT and cellular. Agents run on Amazon EC2 and connect directly to Amazon S3, so pipelines span AWS, your data centers, and the field.
