    Powerful Yet Complex EAM Solution

    Reviewed on May 22, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I use Octave Attune EAM (HxGN EAM) to track maintenance schedules, and it helps reduce downtime by improving maintenance. I like everything about it because it makes life easier. The Asset Hierarchy and Criticality Ranking features are particularly valuable, providing a granular view and priority filter that enhances the management of complex facilities. The robust system shifts facilities management from a reactive model to a strategic, data-driven operation, allowing for faster troubleshooting and optimized resource allocation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup navigation can be a little confusing in the beginning. The system is incredibly powerful for structuring operations, but its depth and complexity can occasionally introduce operational friction. There's a steep learning curve for frontline technicians, as the user interface can feel dense and overly complex, making it hard for them to log data accurately. The mobile app can have syncing issues in areas with poor connectivity, causing delays in updating work order statuses. The reporting and dashboard features can be rigid, requiring technical knowledge to customize. Maintaining data integrity is crucial, and mistakes can lead to inaccuracies in reports, requiring constant monitoring and strict data governance. The initial setup and implementation demand significant time and data discipline, making it far from a 'plug-and-play' process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Octave Attune EAM (HxGN EAM) to track maintenance schedules, reducing downtime by improving maintenance. Its Asset Hierarchy and Criticality Ranking shift management from a reactive model to a data-driven operation, enhancing facilities management significantly.

Centralized Asset Lifecycle Management That Boosts Reliability and Productivity

    Reviewed on May 22, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Centralized Visibility: It enables structured, centralized management of the entire asset lifecycle. Robust Configurability: The platform provides a high level of customization to match specific business needs. Operational Efficiency: Users report fewer production outages, higher productivity, and improved asset reliability. User-Friendly Design: The interface is described as efficient and straightforward, making asset and inventory management easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep Learning Curve: New users often find the menu navigation and overall interface unintuitive, which can make managing multiple assets or handling daily work orders confusing at first. Complex Setup & Configuration: Migrating from legacy systems and customizing specific modules can require significant time and IT resources upfront before everything operates smoothly. Outdated UI: Some reviewers note that the user interface feels somewhat dated compared to newer, more streamlined competitors. Performance with Large Datasets: Users occasionally report slowdowns when processing very large volumes of data or working with extensive historical records. Reporting & Customization: While the platform offers robust analytics, creating custom reports or configuring specific dashboards can sometimes require technical expertise rather than being truly plug-and-play.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maximized ROI & Uptime: By shifting operations from reactive to preventive and predictive maintenance, you can minimize downtime and extend the life of physical and capital assets. Empowered Field Teams: Mobile accessibility enables technicians to pull up technical manuals, GIS mapping, and asset history right on-site, which speeds up repairs and improves first-time fix rates. Smarter Capital Planning: It connects day-to-day maintenance expenditures to long-term capital expenditure (capex) objectives, helping ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently across multi-site or global enterprises. Enhanced Safety and Training: It integrates documentation and task-specific safety training directly into work orders, standardizing operations and reducing risk.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helpes avoid emergency equipment failures. It has also helpes visualize the cost and how much assets you have. It has completely changed many cmpanies paper based tracking.

Structured Asset Management, Complex for New Users

    Reviewed on May 16, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Octave Attune EAM structures the connection between assets, maintenance activities, work orders, and documentation. It gives me a clearer overview of asset history and helps track what has been done, what is pending, and where attention is needed. I appreciate the traceability it offers, allowing me to easily review maintenance records, equipment information, and previous actions in one centralized place. This organization and traceability foster better decision-making, save time, and ensure asset-related information is reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main area that could be improved is usability for new or occasional users. Because the system is very structured and has many functions, it can feel complex at first, especially if someone only needs to complete a specific routine task. Navigation and workflow clarity could also be smoother. Sometimes users need internal guidance or training to understand where to find the right information or how to complete a process efficiently. I would also say that the value of the system depends heavily on clean data and consistent internal setup. If asset names, documentation, or work order processes are not maintained well, the system becomes harder to use effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Octave Attune EAM to organize and trace asset and maintenance information. It centralizes equipment history, maintenance notes, and work orders, improving traceability, follow-up, and accountability in a technical environment.

HxGN EAM Boosts Maintenance Efficiency with Strong Preventive Maintenance & Reporting

    Reviewed on May 13, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Thank you for reaching out. I’ve had a positive experience using HxGN EAM. The platform has been helpful for managing maintenance operations, tracking assets, and improving workflow efficiency. I especially appreciate its preventive maintenance features and reporting capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about HxGN EAM is that the interface can feel complex and overwhelming for new users at first. Some processes require multiple steps, and the learning curve can be a bit steep without proper training. I also think the reporting and customization features could be more user-friendly. However, once you become familiar with the system, it offers strong functionality and reliability for asset and maintenance management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Octave Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM) is helping solve key challenges related to asset management, maintenance tracking, work order control, and unplanned equipment downtime. It provides better visibility into asset performance, improves preventive maintenance planning, and streamlines maintenance workflows across teams.

For us, the biggest benefit has been improved operational efficiency and better control over maintenance activities. It has helped reduce downtime, improve asset reliability, and make reporting and tracking much more organized. The system also supports better decision-making through centralized data and analytics, which improves overall productivity and maintenance planning.
