Design enterprise-ready, scalable cloud solutions with a focus on security. Through threat modeling and architecture review exercises, you will learn to build secure cloud identity foundations, implement zero-trust architecture, design network perimeters, protect data, and enable SOC operations across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Design enterprise-ready cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. SEC549 takes you through a fictional enterprise's cloud migration journey, teaching threat modeling and secure architecture review through hands-on labs.
As an aspiring cloud security architect, you will perform threat models against existing cloud infrastructure, identify pros and cons of design patterns, and create architecture plans supporting enterprise acquisitions.
What You Will Learn:
Identity and Access Foundations
Enable identity federation from Entra ID to AWS and GCP
Design organizational hierarchies with policy guardrails
Implement zero-trust conditional access policies
Authenticate workloads across cloud providers using OIDC and certificates
Network Security Architecture
Build hub-and-spoke networks with micro-segmentation
Configure traffic inspection for ingress, egress, and east-west flows
Manage firewall rules using AWS Firewall Manager and Azure Firewall Manager
Design hybrid connectivity with VPN and dedicated connections
Data Protection Patterns
Establish data perimeter policies and classification
Implement attribute-based access control and data masking
Design centralized key management architectures
Plan disaster recovery and business continuity
Security Operations Enablement
Aggregate logs within CSPs for SIEM export
Design architectures supporting threat detection and incident response
Export telemetry using Kinesis, Event Hub, and Pub/Sub
Process data with Cribl and ingest into Microsoft Sentinel
35 labs across all major cloud providers. CloudWars capstone with team presentations. Prepares for GCAD certification. 30 CPEs across 5 days.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing offers one pricing option: a single-user license for the SEC549: Cloud Security Architecture course, billed as a contract. Pricing is based on the number of units you buy, with each unit covering one individual learner. The license is tied to one person and is meant for that person's own use. To train more people, you add more units. There are no tiers or size-based options here — the structure scales simply by how many single-user licenses you purchase.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one single-user license unit actually cover for this course?
One unit is a license tied to a single individual learner. That person gets access to the SEC549: Cloud Security Architecture course for their own use. The license cannot be shared or sold. To train additional people, you buy additional units, with one unit per person.
How long does my course access last after I buy a single-user license?
Self-paced OnDemand access runs for 120 days. Your access begins when you click the Start Course button, or automatically 14 days after the course becomes available. You can buy 45-day extensions, but total access cannot exceed one year from the original activation date.
Does the single-user license include a GIAC certification exam?
No. The license covers the course itself. A GIAC Certification exam attempt is a separate purchase you are not required to buy. You can add an exam bundle during registration or later through your account. The course prepares you for the exam but completing it is optional.
