You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. Every dimension maps to a specific ARM-based Amazon EC2 instance type running Docker on a hardened Amazon Linux 2 image. Pricing scales with instance size and family. You choose a family for your workload: general-purpose (a1, t4g, m6g, m6gd), compute-focused (c6g, c6gd, c6gn), memory-focused (r6g, r6gd, x2gd), storage-focused (im4gn, is4gen), or graphics (g5g). Within each family, hourly rates rise as the size grows, from nano and medium up to 16xlarge and bare-metal options.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the selected ARM-based type, billed per hour. It includes the hardened Amazon Linux 2 image with Docker installed. Each running instance meters separately. Instance size and family set the hourly rate, so a larger size in the same family costs more per hour.
Software charges apply only while an instance runs. A stopped or paused instance stops accruing the per-hour software fee. Underlying AWS storage and other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped. The software meter tracks running time only.
The image is hardened, meaning it is configured to reduce system vulnerabilities against threats like unauthorized data access and denial of service. It follows recognized secure configuration standards developed by cybersecurity experts. Docker comes pre-installed. This applies across every instance type; only the hardware and hourly rate change.
