    Global Integrated Energy Model (GIEM)

     Info
    Deployed on AWS
The Global Integrated Energy Model (GIEM) allows users to study the evolution of global energy demand and enables users to understand the rate of energy transitions. User-defined reports and charts display history and forecast data for any time period, country/region, sector and fuel. Data and growth rates can be presented as annual observations or in user-specified multi-year intervals, with the ability to drill down to the most granular level of detail in any selected dimension.

    Overview

** The offer comprises a sample data set containing approximately 100 dated records **

Utilizing this information, Global Integrated Energy Model users can analyze past developments and understand the details of an integrated energy demand projection. The geographical coverage of the model includes 143 countries, which are grouped into 13 regional aggregations. Fuels are classified into eight product groups (oil, gas, coal, nuclear, hydro, combustibles, renewables and electricity) with product detail for oil, coal and renewables. Energy demand is subdivided into these nine sectors:

The GIEM reference case is updated monthly to align with a quickly changing world and allows users to understand the impact on future years. The GIEM two-degree scenario, released every quarter, provides insight into reaching a net-zero world.
