This product provides access to the top 1,000 most popular talent and entertainment professionals on IMDb by region, updated weekly. The rankings, which are derived from the location of the IMDb users viewing the names on IMDb, include 4 regions (NAM, EMEA, LATAM, APAC) and 13 countries (United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, and Brazil).
The rankings, known as IMDb Meters and GEOmeters, are derived from the interactions of the IMDb audience of over 250 million monthly visitors. As this audience is composed of passionate fans and entertainment industry professionals worldwide, IMDb Meters offer a unique, real-time reflection of the most popular, relevant, and trending content on IMDb.
The product includes the local STARmeter dataset, containing the top 1,000 names per region. The dataset includes the IMDb GEOmeter rank (refreshed weekly), the unique name ID, the rank date, and the country/region code. By joining the unique name ID with the IMDb Essential Metadata or IMDb and Box Office Mojo package, licensees can leverage IMDb GEOmeters to power a variety of advanced use cases, including:
- Surfacing the most valuable content by region through personalized recommendations, comprehensive search, and innovative discovery features - driving increased engagement, retention, and revenue growth
