Overview
This AMI enables you to deploy Chromium and the browser automation framework Puppeteer to a NodeJS Lambda function. Start an instance of this AMI, configure an IAM user for deployment, and run the predefined code. Scale Puppeteer to infinity by using this serverless architecture.
We offer the following deployment options:
- Deploy a minimalist Chromium build to Lambda's default NodeJS runtime (cold start-up time of around 5 seconds) - includes some minor adjustments to the Puppeteer framework.
- Deploy full-featured Chromium via custom Docker images (cold start-up time up to 40 seconds) - uses pure Puppeteer without any workarounds.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Launch the instance
