Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for this hardened AlmaLinux 9 image, billed per running EC2 instance. Pricing is organized around 16 EC2 instance types, so your rate depends on the instance size you launch. Options span general-purpose burstable families (the t3 and t3a series, from nano through 2xlarge) and fixed-performance families (the m5 and m6i series). Larger instance types carry a higher hourly software rate than smaller ones. AWS infrastructure charges for EC2, EBS storage, and data transfer are separate from this software fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The software fee meters running instance-hours only. A stopped instance does not accrue this hourly charge. However, EBS storage for the stopped instance still bills through AWS separately, since infrastructure charges are not part of the software fee.
You get a hardened AlmaLinux 9 image with an LVM plus XFS disk layout. It includes firewalld, auditd, rsyslog, chrony, AIDE, and automatic security updates. SSH key login is required; root and password logins are disabled. You still complete your own compliance validation.
The hourly rate covers only the AlmaLinux 9 software licence. AWS bills you separately for EC2 compute, EBS storage, public IPv4 addresses, NAT Gateway, and data transfer. These infrastructure costs depend on the instance type you launch and your usage.

Overview
AlmaLinux 9 Hardened Production AMI (x86_64, LVM, XFS) is a hardened EC2 AMI built by CoreNova Intelligence Limited for production use. The AMI does not expire and does not disable features based on time, user count, or instance count.
Recommended instance type: t3.medium. AMI: ami-0d6de3f3184e2bca6 (us-east-1).
Launch checklist
- Subscribe in AWS Marketplace, then launch in us-east-1.
- Select an instance type compatible with x86_64.
- Select your EC2 SSH key pair. Password login is disabled.
- Restrict inbound TCP 22 to trusted administrator IP ranges.
- Review EC2 instance, EBS, data transfer, and AWS Marketplace software charges before launch.

Sensitive data and credentials
The AMI does not include hardcoded passwords, private keys, AWS credentials, or customer data. Customer-created keys and workload data remain in the buyer's AWS account. Linux system logs are stored under /var/log unless the buyer changes operating-system defaults.
Encryption
The Marketplace source AMI uses unencrypted EBS snapshots as required for AWS Marketplace AMI ingestion. Buyers can launch or copy the AMI with encrypted EBS volumes according to their own AWS account policy.
Service quotas and costs
This AMI uses standard EC2, EBS, networking, and AWS Marketplace software billing. Request quota increases through AWS Service Quotas if the account lacks enough EC2 instances, vCPUs, Elastic IPs, or EBS capacity. AWS infrastructure charges are billed separately by AWS.
