It provides a common control point for governing how applications, partners, devices, and AI workloads connect to enterprise systems while preserving native protocols and avoiding custom middleware. Zilla works across Kafka deployments, including Apache Kafka, Confluent, Redpanda, and Amazon MSK. Native Kafka clients continue to use standard Kafka drivers, while Zilla can also declaratively mediate Kafka into REST, SSE, WebSocket, gRPC, MQTT, and MCP interfaces. This container listing bills you by usage, with two separate meters that run per hour. You pay for available vCPUs by the hour, based on the compute capacity your gateway containers can use. You also pay per container by the hour, based on how many containers you run. The two meters are independent and both accrue as you scale. Your total cost rises as you add vCPUs or run more containers, and drops as you scale down. There is no per-connection or throughput charge in these dimensions.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one container and one vCPU unit for billing?
A container is one running instance of the gateway image you deploy in your AWS environment, such as on ECS, Fargate, or EC2. Each running instance counts separately. An available vCPU is one unit of compute capacity that a container can use, metered per hour while the container runs.
How do the two meters combine, and which one drives most of my bill?
Both meters bill independently and appear on the same invoice. The container meter tracks how many gateway instances you run. The vCPU meter tracks the compute capacity those containers can use. Compute-heavy deployments with many vCPUs per container tend to drive more cost than container count alone.
Am I charged when a gateway container is stopped or scaled down?
Both meters accrue per hour only while containers run. When you stop a container, its container and vCPU charges stop for that instance. Scaling down instances lowers both meters. There is no per-connection or throughput charge, so idle capacity you shut off does not keep billing.
