Panacea Test - Scaled Verification Platform for Connected Devices

     Info
    Sold by: Zimetrics
Panacea Test is a full-stack test automation accelerator for organizations whose products span physical devices, embedded firmware, mobile apps, cloud services, and integration platforms. By unifying Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Digital Twin testing under one Gherkin-based orchestration layer, it closes the gap between hardware and software validation teams and reduces the time to deliver regulated, high-quality products to market. Cloud-deployable on AWS, with hybrid support for on-premise device farms.

    Overview

Panacea Test is a distributed, full-stack, end-to-end system validation platform built by Zimetrics. It enables high-fidelity verification of stateful system behaviours that stretch across APIs, databases, integration buses, SaaS services, application software, embedded hardware, and human touchpoints.

Most testing tools are good at one layer: UI tools handle the screen, API tools handle the network, hardware rigs handle the device. The trouble starts when a single user scenario crosses all of them at once, and teams have to manually correlate logs from four different consoles to find out why a feature broke. Panacea was engineered to solve exactly that.

Built on a familiar, open-source foundation (Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, REST Assured), Panacea overlays a unified Gherkin orchestration layer, so a tester can describe a complete user journey in plain Given-When-Then language and have it executed concurrently across web, mobile, API, database, BLE hardware, and cloud services. With first-class support for HIL, SIL, and Digital Twin scenarios, it is purpose-built for complex, regulated systems such as medical devices, IoT products, and industrial control systems.

Panacea is cloud-deployable on AWS, orchestrated on Amazon EC2, scaled with Auto Scaling Groups, storing artifacts in Amazon S3, monitored with Amazon CloudWatch, and analysed with Amazon OpenSearch Service, with mobile tests run on AWS Device Farm. Hybrid deployments alongside on-premise device farms are fully supported. It is designed for regulated industries where evidence, traceability, and reproducibility are not optional.

    Distinctive features of Panacea Test

Full-Stack Test Orchestration: A single script can drive a web UI, mobile app, API gateway, database, simulator, and physical device concurrently, so you no longer stitch together separate runners to verify one user journey.

Gherkin BDD Scripting: Tests are written in plain Given-When-Then language that business analysts, QA engineers, and regulatory reviewers can all read; test cases double as living specifications.

Hardware-in-the-Loop & SIL Support: First-class HIL, SIL, and Digital Twin support. Drive real devices over BLE, USB, serial, or Ethernet, or stub them with high-fidelity simulators — switching modes without rewriting tests.

Extensible Runner Architecture: Pre-engineered runners for UI, API, Mobile, Database, BLE, and embedded hardware ship out of the box; build custom runners for any proprietary protocol, oscilloscope, or signal generator using a documented framework.

Deep Diagnostics & Observability: Every run captures application logs, API request/response payloads, BLE packet traces, firmware logs, oscilloscope captures, and database state, correlated in Amazon OpenSearch Service so root-cause analysis takes minutes, not days.

Multiple Assessment Types: Logical assertions, visual regression, reference-based comparisons, and Quality-of-Service measurements (packet drops, latency, reconnect time) are all first-class test outcomes.

Cloud-Native on AWS: Deploy on EC2, scale with Auto Scaling Groups, store artifacts in S3, monitor with CloudWatch, analyse with OpenSearch, and run mobile tests on AWS Device Farm; hybrid on-prem HIL deployments are fully supported.

CI/CD & ALM Integration: Plug into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps; sync results, defect linkage, and traceability to Jira, Xray, and TestRail so the Design History File and Verification Matrix stay current with every commit.

Security & Compliance Ready: AWS IAM for access control, AWS KMS for encryption at rest, audit-ready test evidence, and architectural alignment with regulated sectors including medical, automotive, and industrial IoT.

    Highlights

    • Cross-stack orchestration from one script: A single Gherkin scenario can talk to a mobile app, a cloud database, and a physical hardware sensor at the same time, with synchronized diagnostics from every layer.
    • Faster time to market with audit-ready evidence: Parallel, full-stack execution has cut verification cycles by up to 60% and reached 80%+ automation coverage, while every run produces timestamped, traceable evidence ready for FDA, MDR, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485 review.
    • Open foundations, no vendor lock-in: Built on Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and REST Assured, so existing team skills transfer directly and there are no per-seat fees for the core test engine.
