Explore the physical world with the most up-to-date ground-level road inventory data set in existence.
Use this data set to detect, monitor, and map traffic signs. This data set is powered by Nexar, the world's safe driving network.
Nexar dash cams protect drivers on the road. They automatically record and save footage directly to the driver’s phone, detect dangerous events and produce evidence reports. We extract images and insights from the footage and upload to the cloud. Frames that are uploaded to the Nexar network are anonymised. Human faces and license plates are blurred and footage can’t be traced back to the recording driver. Traffic signs are automatically detected using Artificial Intelligence in our dash cams and application. These detections are then aggregated and localised.
This data set contains 9881 Road signs detections from San Francisco captured 16-22 March 2020. The exact area is enclosed in by rectangle formed by (37.81737834565083, -122.30941772460938), (37.58811876638322, -122.5579833984375).
This data set allows users to get on-demand visual insights into what’s happening with key areas of interest and can be used for a number of applications:
- Monitor road inventory asset condition: review changes in the state of your assets so you can rapidly fix any missing signs and improve the safety of your roads.
- Keep you maps up to date: keep your maps fresh and up to date with the changes happening in the roads.
- Improve your navigation with better road data: Help your users get to their destinations faster by having the freshest roadway data.
Detections tags are complimentary by capture timestamp and localisation (GPS coordinates).
