Overview
Important: This AMI provides the Enov8 TDM Worker Bee Node only. It requires the Enov8 Environment, Release & Test Data Manager platform to operate.
The Enov8 Test Data Manager (TDM) is an enterprise-grade Test Data Management platform that helps organisations discover, secure, govern, and deliver high-quality test data at scale. Key capabilities include:
Automated Data Risk Profiling automatically identifies PII, PHI, and other sensitive data using advanced automation, AI, and machine-learning techniques. Instead of relying on time-consuming manual analysis, TDM continuously scans and classifies data to reveal hidden risks, accelerate engineering remediation, and improve data security and governance.
Data Masking transforms sensitive data into safe, realistic, non-identifiable values for testing. The platform auto profiles data and generates deterministic masking routines removing the need for lengthy manual analysis. Masking workflows can be run and re-run whenever fresh data arrives, ensuring ongoing compliance without engineering effort.
Data Validation ensures compliance frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA are adhered to. Enov8 uses machine learning to verify data accuracy, consistency, and the effectiveness of applied security controls. This provides confidence that your data remains reliable, compliant, and ready for enterprise consumption.
Data Fabrication (Synthetic Data Generation) When real data is unavailable or unsuitable, Enov8 generates secure, realistic synthetic test data that mimics production patterns. This is ideal for edge cases and specialised test scenarios that are difficult to source from real-world datasets.
Self-Service Test Data Mining & Booking Enov8 centralises test data access, eliminating manual SQL and spreadsheet-driven processes. Teams can search, view, and extract the data they need through a unified interface. Integrated Test Data Reservation (Booking Management) prevents data clashes and ensures controlled, conflict-free usage across teams.
DataOps Automation Enov8 extends DevOps principles to data. By automating data preparation, refresh, masking, and provisioning activities, TDM ensures that data pipelines move at the same speed and quality as application pipelines. This removes data bottlenecks and supports high-velocity CI/CD workflows.
Data Cloning (via Enov8 vME) Using Enov8 vME virtualization technology, teams can instantly create lightweight, cost-efficient clones of large datasets for development, testing, and production support. Note: vME is licensed separately. Refer to the standalone AWS Marketplace listing.
Compliance Reporting Enov8 provides end-to-end visibility of data compliance across the enterprise. Pre-built dashboards and reports give executives, auditors, engineers, and security teams an easy-to-understand view of compliance posture, enabling early detection of issues and accelerating audit readiness.
This AMI forms part of the Enov8 Test Data Management ecosystem, enabling scalable processing for profiling, masking, validation, cloning, and DataOps workflows across cloud and on-premise domains.
Highlights
- Use Enov8 to automate your Data Risk Profiling and identification of where your PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and other sensitive data hides. Manually analyzing your data can be very time-consuming, and due to volume and complexity. mistakes & oversights are easy. Enov8 uses Automation, AI, and Machine Learning methods to quickly & continuously understand your data and identify risks that could lead to security exposures.
- Enov8 automatically profiles your data and generates deterministic masking routines. This removes the need for engineers to spend months understanding and de-sensitizing data. Once generated, you can run and re-run your securitization / masking routines whenever new data arrives.
- Self Service Test Data Mining makes sure that all the Test Data you need is available when you need it, simplifying and standardizing the task of data access. No need for messy SQL statements or shared spreadsheets. The solution also provides you with a Test Data Reservation functionality, that ensures that Test Data is only used by one team, or person, at a time and prevents potential data corruption and conflict.

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
The Enov8 TDM Worker Bee is an add on to support scalable and multi domain TDM operations by communicating back with the Enov8 Environment, Release & Test Data Manager platform.
Please follow these steps to connect a TDM Worker Bee to your Enov8 platform instance.
Login to the Enov8 platform application via a web browser at https://<instance-ip-or-hostname>/ecosystem
Note: If this is your first time logging into the Enov8 Platform web frontend use the username admin and EC2 instance ID as a temporary password for the admin user. The application will prompt you with a form to change the password and organisation name. Note: You'll be prompted to login with the admin username and new password once completed.
Follow these instructions to configure the first or subsequent TDM Worker Bee(s): https://docs.enov8.com/docs/enov8-platform/test-data-management/installation-&-configuration/configure-tdm-workerbees
You have now successfully configured the TDM Worker Bee(s) and can add a database connection. Refer to https://docs.enov8.com/docs/enov8-platform/test-data-management/administration#datasource-management for next steps on how to use the Test Data Management functionality of the platform.
