Overview
The ATG AIoT Accelerator is a production-grade AWS IoT reference architecture that ships with a natural-language fleet ops agent built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime. AlignedTG delivers the engagement as a fixed-scope Professional Services package: in two to four weeks our engineers deploy the full stack into your AWS account, customize it to your devices and schema, and hand off the runbook. What we deploy • An end-to-end telemetry pipeline — IoT Core topic rules, a Kinesis Data Stream, a Kinesis Firehose with Lambda enrichment and dynamic partitioning, and S3 raw storage with retention tiering (Infrequent Access at 30 days, Glacier at 90 days, expiration at 365). • A Glue 4.0 PySpark ETL job that enforces an explicit schema, deduplicates on (device_id, timestamp), and writes Hive-partitioned Parquet to an ML-ready S3 bucket — orchestrated daily by EventBridge Scheduler with a 30-minute flexible window. • A real-time analytics path: a second Kinesis consumer batches telemetry into Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB, giving operators sub-second queryability of recent device state. • An HTTP API exposing device metadata, telemetry, and command dispatch — protected by IAM SigV4 authentication and backed by DynamoDB command logging via an IoT topic rule. • An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server on ECS Fargate exposing seven typed, read-only tools that the agent calls instead of writing ad-hoc SQL. • A Strands agent on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime, plus a Flask chat UI, so operators can answer fleet questions in natural language: “which devices reported in the last hour?”, “show temperature trends for site 7”, “which device has the lowest battery?” The accelerator is delivered as AWS CDK source code you own and can extend. Every resource name, IAM scope, and SSM parameter path derives from a single configurable prefix, so nothing in your account carries AlignedTG branding. The engagement includes architecture review, deployment, custom MCP tool development for your domain (up to two custom tools), MQTT device onboarding for one device family, knowledge-transfer sessions for your ops and platform teams, and a two-week post-deployment support window with Slack and email access to AlignedTG engineers.
Highlights
- A Strands agent on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime answers questions like “which devices have low battery?” or “show temperature drift across site 4” by calling typed MCP tools — no SQL, no custom dashboards. The agent is grounded in a typed data layer, so answers are deterministic and auditable rather than hallucinated from a free-text database dump.
- End-to-end deployment of IoT Core, Kinesis, Firehose with dynamic partitioning, Glue ETL with explicit schema enforcement and (device_id, timestamp) deduplication, and dual hot/cold storage in S3 and Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB. Includes retention tiering (Infrequent Access at 30 days, Glacier at 90, expiration at 365) to control long-term storage cost from day one.
- You receive the full AWS CDK source code — your team owns and extends it after handoff. Every resource name derives from a single configurable prefix, so no partner branding appears in your account. Engagement includes architecture review, deployment, up to two custom MCP tools for your domain, MQTT device onboarding for one device family, and a two-week post-deployment support window.
