Overview
This is a fast, open-source computer vision augmentation library designed to simplify image preprocessing and dataset enhancement for deep learning models. Albumentations provides highly optimized and flexible image transformation components such as flipping, rotation, scaling, cropping, color jittering, noise injection, normalization, and geometric distortions that can be combined into augmentation pipelines. It helps improve machine learning model performance by generating modified versions of images such as rotations, flips, scaling, cropping, brightness/contrast changes, and noise addition. It is widely used in deep learning projects because it is highly optimized, easy to use, and supports integration with frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Highlights
- Open-source Python library for image augmentation
- Commonly used in classification, detection, and segmentation tasks

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
