Armorbytes Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 image is pre-configured to align with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements. Armorbyte is not affiliated with or endorsed by DISA; references are for standard alignment only. The image applies STIG-mapped configurations, secure boot, minimized services, audit logging, and automated patching to satisfy stringent DoD security controls.
The baseline maps to the NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and other frameworks, giving teams a proven starting point toward compliance without the usual DIY effort.
Why choose Armorbyte?
Armorbyte images are continuously rebuilt, vulnerability-scanned, and cryptographically signed. Every build is regression-tested so it just works the first time you launch.

See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for a hardened RHEL 10 server pre-configured to DISA STIG Advanced standards. Pricing follows the AWS EC2 instance you choose, so there are no tiers or feature bundles. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific instance size. General-purpose (t2, t3, t3a, m3, m5a), compute-optimized (c3, c5a), memory-optimized (r3, r5a), storage-optimized (i2, i3, d3), and GPU (g3, g5, p2, p3) families are all available. Cost scales with the compute, memory, storage, and GPU capacity of your selected instance. Larger instances within a family bill at higher hourly rates.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover beyond the underlying EC2 instance?
The rate covers a RHEL 10 server pre-configured to DISA STIG Advanced hardening standards. You get security controls built for stringent regulatory environments without manual setup. The hourly software charge is separate from any AWS infrastructure fees for the instance you run it on.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for stopped instances, but the hardened server license bills per active hour of use.
What drives the hourly cost across the different instance options?
Cost tracks the compute, memory, storage, and GPU capacity of the instance you pick. General-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and GPU families each carry their own rates. Within a family, larger sizes bill at higher hourly rates. You choose one instance per running server.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources.
