Usage instructions
Before you begin: Make sure you are logged in to your AWS account. Without logging in, you will not see the Continue to Subscribe and Continue to Configuration buttons.
Step 1: Launch the Product
- Go to the product listing on AWS Marketplace.
- Click the Continue to Subscribe button.
- Then click the Continue to Configuration button.
- Choose the appropriate:
- AWS Region
- EC2 Instance Type
- VPC and Subnet (you can use default values or your own)
- Click Launch via EC2 Console or 1-Click Launch to deploy the instance.
Step 2 Login Credentials
- Username: ubuntu
- Password: Not applicable. You will use your SSH private key file (.pem) selected during instance launch.
- To find the instance details:
- Go to the AWS Console
- Navigate to EC2 Dashboard > Instances
- Select your running instance
- Copy the Instance ID and public DNS/IP
Step 3 SSH Access (Optional)
- To connect via SSH: ssh -i <your-key.pem> ec2-user@<EC2_Instance_Public_IP>
(Replace <your-key.pem> with the actual key file path, and <EC2_Instance_Public_IP> with the instance's public IP)
- Make sure your Security Group has the following ports open:
- Port 22 (for SSH access)
- Port 80 or 443 (for accessing the web application)
Step 4 Check Application Health
- Open your browser and go to: https://<domain_name>/health
(Replace <domain_name> to actual domain you have provided to the backend service)
- This page shows the health status of the Sparrow application.
