By the end of this 1-day course, participants will be able to:

• Determine cloud readiness and select migration strategies using AWS assessment tools
• Articulate key tasks involved in planning and mobilizing migrations
• Perform a database migration using AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) in a hands-on lab
• Execute an application migration using AWS Application Migration Service (AWS MGN) in a hands-on lab
• Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to post-migration optimization

Participants complete two guided labs that simulate real migration workflows:

• Lab 1: Database Migration with AWS DMS - Replicate a source database to AWS using the Database Migration Service, validating data integrity and cutover readiness
• Lab 2: Application Migration with AWS MGN - Migrate a server workload using Application Migration Service, including agent installation, replication, and launch validation

Lab environments are provisioned individually per participant and are ephemeral - all data and resources are destroyed at the end of the session.

• Module 4: Migrate and Modernize - Application Migration - AWS MGN, modernization phases, Well-Architected Framework for migration, application optimization (includes Lab 2)
• Module 5: Course Summary - Review of key concepts and next steps
