You pay by the hour for vendor support of Node.js 20 running on Redhat Linux 9. Pricing is tied to the AWS EC2 instance type you choose, billed per hour of use. Each dimension matches a specific instance size, from small general-purpose types up to large compute, memory, storage, and GPU-optimized machines. Larger or more powerful instances carry higher hourly rates. You are not locked into a fixed term; charges accrue only while an instance runs. Select the instance that fits your workload, and the hourly support rate follows that choice.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly charge actually cover on top of the EC2 instance cost?
The hourly rate pays for vendor support of Node.js 20 running on Redhat Linux 9. The vendor tracks new releases and updates the packaged software when vulnerabilities or security issues appear. You pay this support rate alongside standard AWS infrastructure charges for the instance you run.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly support rate meters running time. When an instance is fully stopped, the software support charge stops accruing. You are billed only for the hours the instance actually runs. Note that AWS may still apply its own storage charges for stopped instances, separate from this support fee.
If I switch to a bigger instance type, how does my support rate change?
Each instance type carries its own hourly support rate. When you move to a different instance size, the rate for that new type applies for the hours it runs. There is no fixed term, so you can change instance types and your charges follow the type currently running.
