Millabs Enclave Fit Screen - Hardened Government Deployment Assessment

     Info
A one-week deployment of your application against a hardened Kubernetes baseline: what breaks in a US Government enclave, why, and what remediation will cost.

    Overview

Your application runs in commercial AWS. The program office has bought its enclave. The deployment still fails, and nobody can tell you how far you are from working.

The Enclave Fit Screen answers that in one week.

    What the screen does

Millabs deploys your application against a hardened Kubernetes baseline of the kind used across US Government programs - service mesh, policy admission control, hardened base images - and records what happens:

    • Root containers rejected: containers running as root are refused at admission.
    • CVE exposure quantified: base images surface their CVE counts against the standard an Authorizing Official will actually accept.
    • Missing managed services: dependencies on managed database, cache, and object storage services show up as missing where the target enclave does not offer them.
    • Service mesh breakage: sidecar injection breaks health probes and internal networking.
    • Blocked egress: build pipelines reaching for public registries fail against a blocked egress path.

    What you receive

A failure inventory and a go/no-go read. Every finding is reproduced as a test result rather than an architectural opinion, ordered by whether it blocks deployment or merely complicates it, with an assessment of remediation effort for each.

This is a screen, not a full study. It is a single deployment attempt, sized to tell you quickly whether the gap is weeks or quarters, and to let you decide what to fund next. Where the findings justify it, the Full Enclave Fit Study runs the deployment iteratively and produces a costed remediation roadmap. Targeted engineering sprints and authorization artifact development follow from there.

    Who this is for

Commercial software vendors entering the US Government market, typically after an SBIR award or a first program office commitment, who have never deployed against a hardened baseline and are estimating the work blind.

Government program offices that need an independent read on whether a vendor's product can be fielded on the infrastructure they have already bought.

    Related AWS services

This service supports customers deploying containerized applications on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), with container images held in Amazon Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR), including workloads destined for AWS GovCloud (US) and other regulated US Government environments. The assessment addresses how an application behaves on a hardened Kubernetes platform built on these services, and the remediation work that follows is performed against them.

    How the work is performed

Deployment testing runs in a Millabs-operated laboratory, which is privately owned and is not a government-authorized environment. No production or government system is touched. Millabs requires access to your container images and deployment manifests. No source code is required and none is retained.

    Scope boundary

Millabs identifies application code quality and security findings but does not remediate application source code. Remediation of packaging, images, manifests, and missing platform services is in scope. Rewriting your product is not.

    About Millabs

Millabs Corporation has fielded a commercial application at CONTROLLED and TOP SECRET levels, including building a containerized database service because the target enclave offered none, and has built cloud-native digital engineering environments for a US Space Force organization.

    Highlights

    • A definitive answer in one week: a single deployment against a hardened Kubernetes baseline, producing a reproduced failure inventory and a go/no-go read rather than an architectural opinion.
    • Findings you can budget from: every failure ordered by whether it blocks deployment or merely complicates it, with remediation effort assessed for each.
    • Run by an operator who has fielded a commercial application at CONTROLLED and TOP SECRET levels, including building a containerized database service where the target enclave offered none.

Before purchase: questions about scope, fit, or what the engagement requires from your team are answered by email within one business day. There is no charge for a scoping conversation.

During the engagement: you work directly with the engineer performing the deployment, not a support queue. Findings are shared as they are produced rather than held for a final report, and a working session is scheduled at the midpoint and at completion.

After delivery: clarification questions on the findings report are answered at no charge for 30 days.

Not included: this is a professional services engagement, not a software subscription. Millabs does not provide 24/7 support, on-call coverage, or incident response for your application.
