AI-enhanced autonomy platform enabling one operator to manage multiple heterogeneous robotic systems across air, ground, and maritime domains in GPS-denied environments.

    Overview

Gambit PRAXIS: AI-Powered Multi-Domain Autonomous Robotics

PRAXIS addresses the escalating complexity of deploying unmanned systems (UxS) at scale across defense and commercial sectors. Current robotic systems require multiple operators managing single platforms. PRAXIS changes this paradigm - enabling one operator to manage multiple autonomous systems across air, ground, surface, and sub-surface domains, even in GPS-denied and electromagnetically degraded environments.

    The Challenge

The value and impact of autonomous systems are limited by their ability to communicate and collaborate. Communication hurdles in contested environments, high operator-to-platform ratios, and the inability to scale robotic operations across multiple domains create significant operational constraints.

    How PRAXIS Works

PRAXIS deploys intelligent, autonomous, multi-domain heterogeneous robotic systems that display collective agency and decision-making through an AI agent. This is not simply deterministic commands with an agentic wrapper. PRAXIS is a set of modular behaviors that leverage robust training to navigate unfamiliar and unknown situations, incorporating non-deterministic behaviors into your robotics.

The operator does not define routes or micro-manage platforms. Instead, platforms collect data, and the AI agent coordinates collective action for user-defined outcomes. Using techniques from generative and embodied AI, the user experience is outcome-focused - as intuitive as issuing a command like "find red ball."

    Key Capabilities

    • One-to-Many Multi-Domain Control: Manage air, ground, surface, and sub-surface robotic systems from a single operator interface
    • Communications Maintenance Architecture: RF MANET or mesh, WiFi, Bluetooth with no reliance on a ground control station and fully decentralized nodes
    • RF Mapping: Intelligent frequency hopping facilitated by AI agents to maintain connectivity in degraded environments
    • Edge Device Reinforcement Learning: Decentralized neural network enabling self-healing and mission-healing capabilities
    • Collaborative Robotic Behaviors: Access a growing library of behaviors with dynamic replanning and adaptive autonomy when platforms are lost or destroyed
    • Target Identification: Vision-model agnostic TOI identification from multiple cameras looking for similar or various targets
    • Mission Planning: Preplan and cache multiple missions to address potential future courses of action and contingencies
    • Triggered Missions: Humans can participate in or trigger missions as part of the collective group of collaborative robotic systems

    Platform and UI Agnostic

PRAXIS meets customers where they are today with their current inventory of robotic systems. All components are containerized and built on common languages and standards, supporting the accelerated adoption of attritable platforms across multiple domains. The solution decreases costs to train operators, hire larger workforces, and acquire new platforms.

    Continuous Learning

PRAXIS constantly learns through the accumulation of robot operations data, becoming more useful and valuable to customers over time. Edge-based reinforcement learning enables the system to adapt and improve without centralized dependencies.

    AWS Integration

Deployed as containerized components on AWS infrastructure, PRAXIS leverages cloud scalability for training, simulation, and mission planning while maintaining edge autonomy for field operations in disconnected environments.

    Highlights

    • One operator controls multiple autonomous robotic systems across air, ground, surface, and sub-surface domains simultaneously. PRAXIS uses AI agents to coordinate collective action for user-defined outcomes rather than requiring operators to define routes or micro-manage individual platforms.
    • Platform and UI agnostic architecture meets customers where they are with their current robotic inventory. All components are containerized and built on common languages and standards, supporting accelerated adoption of attritable platforms. The solution decreases costs to train operators, hire larger workforces, and acquire new platforms.
    • Communications maintenance architecture operates across RF MANET, mesh, WiFi, and Bluetooth with no reliance on a ground control station and fully decentralized nodes. AI agents perform RF mapping to facilitate intelligent frequency hopping in degraded environments. A growing library of collaborative robotic behaviors enables dynamic replanning and adaptive autonomy to replan mid-mission or when platforms are lost.

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Version release notes

This is version 1.0 of our AWS Marketplace release.

    Additional details

    Usage instructions

ALIENweb - AWS Marketplace Usage Instructions

ALIENweb is delivered as a preconfigured EC2 AMI. The application is installed and starts automatically when the instance boots. No external activation or license provisioning step is required to launch and access the AWS Marketplace product.

    1. Launch and configure

    2. Subscribe to ALIENweb in AWS Marketplace.

    3. Select the desired version and AWS Region.

    4. Launch one EC2 instance from the ALIENweb AMI.

    5. Select a VPC and subnet reachable by intended operators.

    6. Configure an EC2 security group allowing inbound TCP 8282 from trusted operator networks.

    7. SSH on TCP 22 and RDP are not supported or required.

    8. Attach an EC2 IAM instance role that permits AWS Systems Manager access, such as AmazonSSMManagedInstanceCore or an equivalent least-privilege policy.

    9. Ensure the instance has outbound HTTPS on TCP 443 access to AWS Systems Manager endpoints using Internet, NAT, or VPC endpoints.

    10. Configure EBS storage and encryption as required.

    11. Wait until the instance is Running and both EC2 status checks pass.

Initial startup may take several minutes.

    1. Access ALIENweb

Use an EC2 private or public IPv4 address or DNS hostname reachable from the operator workstation.

    Open:

    http://<host>:8282/

    Example:

    http://10.20.30.40:8282/

    Access details:

    • Protocol: HTTP
    • Port: TCP 8282
    • Path: /
    • SSH: Not supported
    • RDP: Not supported
    • Administrative access: AWS Systems Manager Session Manager

No SSH key, SSH username, or operating-system password is required for normal ALIENweb access.

For access across untrusted networks, place ALIENweb behind a customer-managed HTTPS load balancer or reverse proxy and restrict direct access to TCP 8282.

    1. Administrative access

Administrative operating-system access is provided through AWS Systems Manager Session Manager.

    1. Confirm the instance has an IAM role with Systems Manager permissions.
    2. Open the EC2 console.
    3. Select the ALIENweb instance.
    4. Select Connect.
    5. Select Session Manager.
    6. Select Connect.

Session Manager access is authenticated and authorized using customer AWS IAM policies. No inbound administrative port is required.

    1. Verify operation

From a workstation with network access, run:

    curl --fail --show-error --max-time 10 http://<host>:8282/

A successful request should return HTTP status 200. Then open http://<host>:8282/ in a browser and confirm the ALIENweb interface loads.

ALIENweb fulfillment is provided through AWS Marketplace. Do not contact Gambit to activate or license the Marketplace AMI.

    1. Restart and troubleshooting

ALIENweb starts automatically at boot. To restart it, reboot the EC2 instance. Do not terminate the instance merely to restart the application.

If ALIENweb is unreachable, verify that the instance is Running, both status checks pass, TCP 8282 is permitted, VPC routing and network ACLs allow access, and the selected IP or DNS address is reachable.

If Session Manager is unavailable, verify the IAM instance role, Systems Manager connectivity over TCP 443, and that the instance appears as a Systems Manager managed node.
