Each dimension maps to one instance size, so your cost scales with the compute, memory, and storage that instance provides. Smaller instances suit light development, while larger ones handle heavier workloads. The listing defaults to the t2.large instance with 2 vCPUs and 8 GB RAM. You are billed only for the hours the instance runs, with no term commitment.

What do I actually get for the hourly charge on each instance dimension?
You get a preconfigured virtual machine running LangChain and LangFlow on one AWS EC2 instance. Each dimension maps to a single instance type, defining its vCPUs, memory, and storage. For example, the default t2.large provides 2 vCPUs and 8 GB RAM. Larger instances add more compute and memory.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
You pay the hourly software rate only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. AWS may still bill underlying storage costs for stopped instances separately. To stop charges, shut the instance down from the EC2 console when you are not using it.
If I need more compute later, how do I move to a different instance size?
Cost changes with the instance type you select. You are not locked into one size. You can change the EC2 instance type during configuration or later through the EC2 console. Your hourly bill then follows the new instance's rate. The software itself stays the same across all sizes.

In these early days, Langflow is something of a moving target. When I first used the AMI it had an out of date version. The Techlatest team was quick to update it and provide support for subsequent upgrades. The team responds rapidly and competently to questions.
This was much easier than an attempt at an install of the tools on a bare bones installation.
