Observability is a system's measure of how well the state (for example, of an application, database, infrastructure, or digital service) can be inferred from its outputs. Results can be natively obtainable metrics via APIs, event logs, and collected traces. Our AWS Observability Assessment service is divided into three stages: Discovery, Assessment, and Recommendations. Each stage serves a specific purpose to provide valuable insights and recommendations for optimizing observability within the AWS environment.

These recommendations may include optimizing the configuration of monitoring tools, implementing additional monitoring services, enhancing log management and analysis, or adopting distributed tracing for improved performance visibility. We also provide a roadmap for implementing the recommendations, prioritizing actions, and highlighting potential benefits.
