Datrics Deplotment using single ec-2 instance

Stack creates vpc, internet and nat gateways, public and private subnets.

In the public subnet, we host an application load balancer secured by a security group, that directs traffic to the Datrics instance secured by its own security group.

It is created from the launch template (which holds ami) and managed by the auto-scaling group. Data from the Datrics app is saved to EBS volume that is snapshotted with lifecycle policy to have backups, and corresponding roles to attach volumes and create snapshots are created as well. The Datrics app exposes a couple of services, these services are listened by the load balancer and exposed by A records that are aliases of the load balancer. These A records are created in a hosted zone (which requires to be present before the cloud formation stack is applied) by a cloud formation stack as well. A records are secured by SSL certificates.

    CloudFormation Template (CFT)

AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
