This AMI provides a fully configured Valkey 7.2.12 LTS installation on AlmaLinux 10, optimized for AWS. Valkey automatically tunes itself based on your chosen instance size, adjusting maxmemory to 75% of available RAM for optimal caching performance.

What is Valkey? Valkey is the Linux Foundation's open-source fork of Redis, fully compatible with Redis protocol and commands. It's backed by AWS, Google, Oracle, and other major cloud providers. Valkey uses the permissive BSD license, making it ideal for commercial use without licensing concerns.
