Highlights
iluminr delivers engaging microsimulations, as short as 10 to 30 minutes long that immerse users in severe but plausible crisis scenarios, from cyber threats to natural disasters and supply chain disruptions.
These ready to go exercises are designed for users across all levels, from boardroom leaders to operational staff, making skill building consistent and scalable throughout the organization.
Each scenario supports regulatory readiness. For example, Operational Resilience, DORA, CPS230 and more, while reinforcing response capabilities and building organizational muscle memory.

Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract covers two separate user types, and you pay per user for each. Admin Users are your Program Administrators, who set up and manage simulations and workflows for your organization. Learners are the participant users who take part in the microsimulations and exercises. You size each category independently based on how many administrators and how many participants you need. Total cost scales with the count of users in each role, so a program with many participants and few administrators is billed accordingly.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What is the difference between an Admin User and a Learner for billing?
Admin Users are Program Administrators who set up and manage simulations, workflows, and scenarios for your organization. Learners are participants who take part in the microsimulations and exercises. You are billed separately for each type, so both counts affect your total cost independently.
Which user type usually drives most of the cost?
The two counts are billed independently and add together on the same invoice. Learners typically outnumber administrators, since participants span the whole workforce while administrators are the few staff who build and manage exercises. So Learner volume usually drives the larger share of a program's cost.
If I add more participants during the term, how does my cost change?
Cost scales with the number of users you commit to in each role. Adding participants increases the Learner count you are billed for. You size the Admin User and Learner categories separately, so you can grow participant numbers without changing your administrator count.

Configurable Microsimulations That Strengthen Resilience and Continuity Planning

What do you like best about the product?
iluminr tackles an issue that cannot be realistically taken care of through traditional tabletop exercises. The platform allows organizations to execute both single-player (AI-enabled and individual end user level) and multi-player (departmental) microsimulations that are fully configurable and helps to validate business processes and continuity plans. This builds muscle memory and confidence levels via a building block approach which enhances the overall resilience posture for the organization. Moreover, it allows our organization to align functional/tactical capabilities with strategic objectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside worth mentioning is the scheduling feature within the IT Alerting capability that is continuously being enhanced and built out based on our organization's inputs. This review feedback is a bit of a reach especially given iluminr's willingness to build out certain functions that previously didn't exist on the platform. Once more automation is achieved, we're looking forward to decreasing some manual workarounds when it comes to editing schedules and being able to rely on automated reminders, as well as several other customizable options we're seeking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through the microsimulations, iluminr is helping to close knowledge and confidence gaps when it comes to the business impact analysis (BIA) and business continuity plan (BCP) information during simulated or real incidents. In addition, through its integration with Crisis24 Horizon, our organization is able to maintain strong resilience through better preparedness made possible through continuous threat intelligence feeds. And during crisis events, we're able to send out mass communication such as polling in ensuring health and safety statuses of our employees.

iluminr Makes Resilience Exercises Simple, Engaging, and Flexible

What do you like best about the product?
iluminr fills is a vital gap in the resilience, risk and continuity software field. Organizations need to exercise more frequently and more flexibly, but without generating exercise fatigue. iluminr enables organizations to create tailored and targeted exercises across a range of scenarios and disciplines in a simple, engaging format.
What do you dislike about the product?
iluminr is simple to use and simple to implement. The greatest challenge I've seen is the shift in mindset from pushing paperwork to serving as a genuine advisor to the organization. iluminr is exactly the tool to enable this shift, but updating organizational mindset is always a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As with most organizations, we are challenged to accomplish more with our existing resources. iluminr serves as a force multiplier enabling the delivery and execution of higher quality, more engaging exercises that are also tailored and targeted specifically to a department's needs. We can scale down our exercises to a very specific process and small group of people or we can scale up to test our entire organization with an overarching theme or scenario. What would take months to plan and execute, we can now accomplish in days.

Iluminr consolidates our playbooks and BCPs, enhances training through Microsimulations, and improves emergency communications. It's key to our current BIA consolidation efforts via the SmartBIA process. Their Event Room is really useful when managing an incident as it collates all the relevant information in one space and actions/decisions can be allocated and recorded effectively.
