Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Now on the AWS Console, wait for the instance to show the Instance state as running. Connect to your instance using an SSH client, and the private SSH key created or selected earlier in above step. Example: ssh -i flexvnf-keypair.pem admin@ec2-x-x-x-x.us-east-1.compute.amazonaws.com
-
If you need management access to your SteelConnect EX FlexVNF instance from outside of your VPC, you will need to create an Elastic IP and associate it with first (eth0) interface of the SteelConnect EX FlexVNF network interface.
-
Once SSH has connected, you should be at the SteelConnect EX FlexVNF instance command prompt on the SteelConnect EX FlexVNF. You may now begin configuring your instance.
