This engagement is designed for mid-market and enterprise teams that need to:

• Modernize monolithic backends into serverless microservices

Phase 1 - Discovery and Architecture Design (1-2 weeks)

• Requirements gathering and stakeholder interviews
• Current-state architecture assessment
• Target-state architecture design document aligned to the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Deliverable: Architecture design document with cost estimates

Phase 2 - Implementation and Development (2-8 weeks)

• API development using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and supporting services
• Database design and deployment (DynamoDB, RDS, or both)
• Integration with AWS Transfer Family, AWS Glue, or other services as needed
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates for repeatable deployments

Business Compass LLC has deployed serverless video-on-demand and live streaming backends on AWS. A typical engagement involves ingesting video content through AWS Transfer Family, processing it via Lambda-based transcoding workflows, storing assets in S3, and serving them through API Gateway endpoints - all without managing servers, enabling elastic scaling during traffic spikes while minimizing costs during quiet periods.

We build to compliance standards including HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST 800, and SOC 2. Every engagement follows these security practices:

• Least-privilege IAM policies for all service roles
• Encryption at rest (KMS) and in transit (TLS) for all data paths
• Secrets management via AWS Secrets Manager or Parameter Store
• Access to your AWS environment is scoped, audited, and revoked at engagement close
