Overview
XGRIDS Spatial Modeling API converts a 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) scene or a LAS point cloud into a structured, editable building model.
Submit a captured scene and receive vectorized geometry: wall centerlines with thickness, door and window openings with dimensions, room boundaries with areas, and individual furniture instances, together with ready-to-open DXF, BLEND and GLB files.
WHAT IT REPLACES Reality capture looks convincing but carries no structure. A splat scene or a raw point cloud has no walls, no openings, no objects, nothing a CAD or BIM tool can edit. Getting from captured data to usable geometry is still a manual job: a drafter typically spends one to several days redrawing a single floor. The API returns a complete model from a single request.
HOW IT WORKS
- Upload a 3DGS scene (LCC2 or PLY) or a point cloud (LAS)
- Poll the task endpoint for status
- Download DXF, BLEND and GLB, plus a structured JSON description of the model
WHERE THE OUTPUT GOES The model drops straight into the tools your team already uses, with no conversion step and no cleanup pass:
- DXF opens in AutoCAD, and imports into SketchUp Pro, Revit, ArchiCAD and Rhino as editable line work and solids
- BLEND opens natively in Blender with objects, materials and hierarchy intact
- GLB loads into Unreal Engine, Unity, Twinmotion and any web-based viewer for presentation and VR walkthroughs
Geometry is metrically scaled and georeferenced to the capture, so measurements taken downstream match the site. The JSON output makes the model queryable: count objects by category, measure clear widths and openings, check whether a given piece of furniture fits, or generate area schedules, all without opening a CAD tool.
WHO IT IS FOR
- Reality-capture and survey firms delivering as-built drawings
- Architecture and interior studios working from existing conditions
- Real estate and facility platforms producing floor plans and areas at scale
- Renovation contractors doing feasibility checks and quantity take-off
PRICING Purchase XGRIDS Credits in prepaid packs. Credits are consumed by actual scene size, so a small apartment costs less than a large floor plate. Before each task the service estimates consumption and verifies your remaining balance, so a job never stops halfway for lack of credits.
Before you can start using the service, your AWS Marketplace invoice for this agreement needs to be paid in full. Credits are issued only after AWS Marketplace has received your payment, so please allow 2 to 4 business days after your payment is completed.
Highlights
- 3DGS or point cloud to editable model, no manual drafting Walls with thickness, door and window openings with dimensions, room boundaries with areas, and individual furniture instances are extracted automatically from your captured scene and returned as DXF, BLEND and GLB.
- One request, no configuration No templates, no rule tuning, no per-project setup. Upload an LCC2, PLY or LAS scene, poll for status, download the model. Works on residential and commercial interiors.
- Pay for the scene, not for seats Prepaid XGRIDS Credits are consumed
