This listing uses a single usage-based dimension billed by scan host-hours (HostHrs). You pay based on the number of hours spent scanning hosts, so cost scales with your actual scanning activity. There are no separate tiers or fixed plans on the pricing table. The more scanning you run, the more host-hours you accumulate and the higher your usage charge. This billing suits buyers who want to align spend with real workload rather than committing to a set quantity upfront.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one host-hour (HostHrs) for billing?
A host-hour reflects one hour of scanning activity against a target host. Your charge accumulates as scans run against hosts over time. The more hosts you scan and the longer scans run, the more host-hours you accrue.
Am I charged when no scans are running?
Charges accrue only from active scanning measured in host-hours. When you run no scans, you accumulate no host-hours, so no usage charge builds. Cost tracks your real scanning activity rather than a fixed period.
What scanning capabilities are covered under this usage-based charge?
The suite covers vulnerability scanning, web app scanning, configuration benchmarks, compliance scanning, exploit mapping, social engineering, and asset management. It supports remote, agent, and passive scanning methods. All of these run under the same host-hour metering.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
