Django is a high-level Python web framework that facilitates rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. With Django, developers can build powerful web applications quickly and efficiently, thanks to its robust set of features and built-in components.

This AMI comes pre-configured with Django, making it ideal for deploying applications in the cloud. By utilizing Django, developers can leverage its Model-View-Template (MVT) architecture, which promotes the separation of business logic from the UI, ensuring maintainability and scalability.

Django's comprehensive admin interface is also included, enabling users to manage data seamlessly. This feature is particularly beneficial for projects that require a quick turnaround time, allowing for efficient data handling without the need for extensive development.

Additionally, Django supports a wide variety of databases, providing flexibility depending on the project requirements. Developers can easily connect to PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and other popular databases, making Django a versatile choice for different application needs.

Moreover, the security features integrated into Django help protect applications from common vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting. This makes it a reliable option for building secure web solutions that require high levels of trust and data protection.

In summary, deploying with the Django AMI allows developers to streamline their workflow, enhance productivity, and create robust web applications that meet both functional and performance requirements. Whether you are starting a new project or optimizing an existing one, choosing Django will help you achieve your goals efficiently and effectively.

    Dimensions summary

You pay by the hour for a hardened Django image running on Amazon EC2. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each rate maps to a specific EC2 instance type you select. Your hourly cost changes with the instance you pick, covering many families such as general purpose, compute, memory, storage, accelerated computing, and high-memory options. Sizes range from small shared instances to large bare-metal machines. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware carry higher hourly rates. You pick the instance that fits your workload, and billing follows your running hours.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

You get a hardened Django image preinstalled and ready to run on the EC2 instance type you choose. The rate covers the software licence for that image. Your instance's CPU, memory, and any specialized hardware match the family and size you select, so larger instances carry higher hourly software rates.
The hourly software rate meters running time only. A stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still pay separate AWS fees for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the Django image licence bills by running hours.
Your hourly rate follows the instance type you run. Switching to a larger size in the same or a different family applies that size's higher rate for the hours it runs. There is no separate upgrade fee. Billing simply tracks whichever instance is active each hour.
