Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type across the t2, t3, t3a, m3, m4, and c7a families. These options differ in compute, memory, and processing capacity. Smaller instances like t3a.medium and c7a.medium suit lighter workloads. Larger instances like m4.16xlarge and m4.10xlarge handle heavier processing needs. Your cost scales with the instance you choose and the hours you run it. All options include the same software, secured and supported by Hossted, so you select purely on capacity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You are billed per hour that a chosen EC2 instance runs the software. Each dimension maps to one instance type. One running instance accrues one instance-hour at that type's rate. Run several instances and each meters separately. The software charge tracks running time for the instance size you select.
The software charge meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from this listing's hourly software charge.
The software is secured and supported by Hossted, covering troubleshooting, usage guidance, and 24×7 assistance for the open-source application. Support coverage stays the same across all instance types. You select the dimension purely on compute and memory capacity, not on support level.

Usage instructions
Our basic recomendation is to use provided security rules at least for deployment phase until successful app access. After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). The machine is accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. Where relevant, app login credentials are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
