Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for compatibility engineering, pre-installed configuration, software supply chain validation, and open-source indemnification provided by CIQ which are not provided with the Community Edition. Â
Rocky Linux from CIQ (RLC) is an enterprise-grade Linux distribution built for stability, security, and performance on AWS offering enhanced assurances provided by CIQ which are not available with the Community version. RLC offers seamless compatibility with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), ensuring an easy migration away from RHEL for organizations looking to run a performant, cost-optimized, and secure Linux open-source solution. This listing tracks Rocky Linux Latest Release and updates minor versions approximately every 6 months following upstream releases. Â
This listing is optimized for use with NVIDIA GPU instances, including signed drivers (kernel modules) to enable you to leverage Secure Boot along with a matched version of the CUDA Toolkit to enable you to begin building and deploying GPU-enabled workloads right out of the box saving considerable time and effort installing drivers and fulfilling dependencies. Â
We offer multiple AMIs in this listing with different versions of the drivers and libraries pre-installed, allowing you to select exactly the combination which best suits your needs. Please be sure to review the Version Notes to make sure you deploy the version with the desired NVIDIA GPU driver and CUDA Toolkit. If you are looking for a combination which is not available built into the AMI, you may easily install alternative versions provided by CIQ using the dnf command once you launch your instance. The number of images will grow over time, and new versions of drivers and libraries will be available within 30 days of release upstream. Â
This offer includes Basic Support from CIQ. See the Support Details for information on the available scope of support and how to access our support team, and review the CIQ Support Overview under Learning Resources for more information on the scope of this included support product.
