You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you pick to run this Ghost publishing software. The 38 options are not feature tiers; they are hardware choices that set compute, memory, and cost. General-purpose (m- and t- families), compute-optimized (c- families), and memory-optimized (r- families) instances span small, medium, large, and xlarge sizes. Larger instances add more vCPUs and memory for higher traffic, so hourly cost rises with capacity. The vendor recommends t3.small as a baseline. You can stop or resize the instance anytime, and billing stops when the instance stops.

The vendor recommends t3.small as a baseline for running Ghost. You can move to t3.medium or a larger size as traffic and membership volume grow. Larger sizes add vCPUs and memory, raising the hourly cost. If storage fills or the panel lags, resize to a bigger instance.

This deployment launches Ghost within a secure and scalable AWS infrastructure, providing a complete environment for self-hosted publishing, newsletter delivery, and membership management. The AMI is preinstalled and configured, allowing users to start writing, manage subscribers, and customize themes immediately after launch. Users can access the admin dashboard through a web browser and configure publishing settings, member tiers, and integrations. This architecture is designed for fast, reliable, and scalable content publishing workflows.

"Click the ""Continue to Subscribe"" button. After subscribing, you will need to accept the terms and conditions. Click on ""Accept Terms"" to proceed. Please wait for a few minutes while the processing takes place. Once it's completed, click on ""Continue to Configuration"".
IAM Role is set up and configured with the necessary permissions to assume the role for the Ghost service. The IAM Policy is created and responsible for access Route53 and create Letsencrypt SSL certificates and backing up data to the S3 bucket.
Access the application via a browser at http://<your domain name> or http://<Public IPv4 address>. Product will try to create SSL certificate when its deploying, if domain hosted on route53. If the automatic SSL creation unsuccessful then you have to point domain name into server ip, ssh into server and run /root/certificate_generate_standalone.sh. Admin email using for SSL generation."
