The Application Modernization service is designed to accelerate a client’s on-premises-to-AWS cloud journey by simplifying modernization activities that have traditionally been time-intensive and required significant resource engagement. Built on the foundation of AWS Transform, this service applies agentic logic to discover, assess, and execute modernization activities for on-premises workloads. The service intelligently determines workload types and the appropriate modernization pathways to successfully modernize them to AWS.
Overview
This product is designed to help customers accelerate application modernization through the use of AWS Transform, augmented by Accenture through custom agents, eliminating the guesswork associated with modernization. From discovery of workloads on-premises to reviewing the source code (if available), through planning and migration, we have it covered. If a workload is not a candidate for containerization/modernization, the agent can migrate the entire workload using AWS-native tools. This is delivered through a fully conversational interaction with our Orchestrator agent, which coordinates a swarm of AI agents working in the background to complete the migration.
The Application Modernization service features the following workflows through our orchestration engine:
- Workload migration to containers on AWS
- Container migration to AWS
- Container modernization to AWS – upgrades to .NET and SQL databases as part of the move to AWS
- .NET modernization – for customers looking to move away from Windows-based .NET Framework 3.5+ to Linux-ready .NET 8 applications
- Direct instance migration to EC2 (no containerization)
