Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. Pricing scales with compute capacity across two instance families: the t-series (t2, t3, t3a) for general-purpose burstable workloads and the m-series (m3, m4) for steady-state balanced workloads. Within each family, sizes step up from medium and large through xlarge, 2xlarge, and larger multiples like 4xlarge, 10xlarge, and 16xlarge. Each step adds CPU and memory, so your hourly rate rises with the size you select. You choose the instance that fits your workload, with no upfront commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The hourly rate covers running the software on your chosen EC2 instance size. The listing bundles security hardening and support for the open-source application. Larger instance sizes add CPU and memory, which raises the hourly rate. You pay only for the hours your instance runs.
Software charges meter running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly software fees. Note that stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes. Billing resumes when you restart the instance.
You select the EC2 instance size when you launch. To change size, you stop the instance and relaunch on a different type, which then meters at that size's hourly rate. There is no upfront commitment, so you can switch as your workload changes.

Usage instructions
Our basic recomendation is to use provided security rules at least for deployment phase until successful app access. After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). The machine is accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. Where relevant, app login credentials are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
