This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for desktop and RDP configuration. This AWS-based EC2 comes pre-configured with the latest SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 image, featuring the GNOME desktop environment, Mozilla Firefox web browser, and the xrdp service for remote desktop access from Windows, macOS, and Linux clients.
This configuration is ideal for organizations that need a graphical Linux desktop in the cloud for remote development, training environments, virtual workstations, browser-based testing, or as a jump host for accessing internal resources.
Connect using any standard RDP client such as Microsoft Remote Desktop, Remmina, or FreeRDP. The GNOME desktop environment provides a polished, productive experience accessible from any standard RDP client, well-suited for cloud-based remote desktop workloads.

Usage instructions
Allow inbound SSH access (TCP port 22) and RDP access (TCP port 3389) in your security group.
To connect to your instance using the Amazon EC2 console: Open the Amazon EC2 console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/ . In the navigation pane, choose Instances. Select the instance and choose Connect. Choose the EC2 Instance Connect tab. For Connection type, choose Connect using EC2 Instance Connect. Access the EC2 with the default username: ec2-user
Setting up RDP access: Step 1: SSH to the instance first using your EC2 key pair as ec2-user. Step 2: Set a password for ec2-user by running the command: sudo passwd ec2-user Step 3: Use any RDP client to connect to the instance public IP on port 3389. Step 4: Login with username ec2-user and the password you set in Step 2. Step 5: The GNOME desktop environment will launch automatically with Firefox available in the application menu.
