Overview
PatchPilot by ZeroDBA automates SQL Server cumulative update (CU) patching on AWS EC2 instances, eliminating manual patch cycles, reducing risk, and keeping your SQL Server fleet compliant without writing a single script.
HOW IT WORKS PatchPilot deploys a lightweight cross-account IAM role in your AWS account (via CloudFormation). From there it uses AWS Systems Manager to discover all SQL Server instances, assess their current patch level against the latest Microsoft CUs, and execute targeted installs with full pre/post validation and audit logging.
PatchPilot never touches your data. It only reads SQL Server version metadata and executes the Microsoft-signed CU installer. Your RDS and EC2 instances remain entirely in your control.
