Overview
ownCloud is a suite of client-server software providing the ability to create and use file hosting services. ownCloud functionally has similarities to the widely used Dropbox. The primary functional difference between ownCloud and Dropbox is that ownCloud does not offer data center capacity to host stored files.
With extensions, you could make ownCloud work like Google Drive, enabling online document editing, calendar, and contact synchronization, and more.
It is open to avoid enforced quotas on the storage space or the number of connected clients. Instead of having to tolerate strict limitations (for example, on the storage space or the number of users), the clients are only limited by the physical capabilities of the server.
Tidal Media Inc. is glad to provide you with an ownCloud - File Sync and Share Server on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Image, fully pre-configured and heavily cloud hardened to be ready-to-run in AWS environments. Ensure the safety of your files with us!
Highlights
- Increase productivity - Work simultaneously on documents, create presentations together in real-time, annotate files, and much more, thereby saving time on coordination and feedback processes.
- Control those who can access your data - Say goodbye to slow VPN connections, unversioned documents attached to emails as well as shadow IT in public clouds of questionable security.
- Control where your data is stored - Be confident that your data storage and maintenance complies with the regulation. Increase security through measures like multi-factor authentication, encryption and file lifecycle management.
