    Payment Orchestration Agent Suite

     Info
Route every payment through the optimal rail with a multi-agent solution that evaluates cost, speed, success rate, corridor performance, and compliance in real time, applies sanctions and regulatory screening before execution, and fails over intelligently when a rail degrades. Each routing decision feeds a learning loop, so the engine improves with every transaction.

    Overview

Modernize Payment Processing and Routing: Payment operations run on static routing logic that cannot optimize in real time, siloed stacks that drive cost and obscure visibility, and manual exception handling for every screening and validation failure. Without a feedback loop, the same failures repeat. This professional services offering delivers a multi-agent orchestration layer that selects the optimal payment rail per transaction, screens for compliance before execution, and learns from every outcome.

The result is lower routing cost, fewer manual exceptions, and a payment estate that gets smarter with volume rather than merely larger.

Multi-Agent Orchestration Framework: Five specialized agents form the intelligence layer. A context collector aggregates transaction metadata and enriches it with FX rates, corridor data, and historical performance metrics. A policy reasoner applies AML and sanctions screening, regulatory rules, and country-specific constraints before any routing decision is made. An optimizer performs multi-objective selection across cost, speed, compliance risk, and FX stability to choose the rail.

An execution agent triggers the payment on the selected rail with intelligent failover logic when a rail degrades or rejects. A feedback agent then monitors the outcome and feeds the result back into the model, so routing quality compounds over time rather than remaining static. Compliance screening sits upstream of execution by design—no payment is routed before it clears policy.

Business Capabilities: • Select optimal payment rails in real time based on cost, speed, success rate, and geography • Evaluate corridor performance and SLA history when making routing decisions • Enrich routing context with live FX rates, corridor metadata, and performance metrics • Apply AML, sanctions, and country-specific regulatory screening before execution • Execute payments with intelligent failover when a rail degrades or rejects • Transform payment instructions across formats, including ISO 20022 messaging standards • Monitor outcomes and feed results back into routing models for continuous improvement • Reduce manual exception handling across screening and validation failures

AWS-Native Architecture: The orchestration layer is designed to run wholly within a firm's own AWS account and VPC, so payment data and routing decisions never leave the institution's boundary. Payment instructions arrive through Amazon API Gateway and Amazon EventBridge, with Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (Amazon MSK) carrying the event stream between orchestration stages and AWS Lambda handling format transformation into canonical and ISO 20022 structures. The intelligence layer is deliberately split. Amazon SageMaker AI trains and hosts the rail-selection and optimization models, keeping multi-objective scoring in purpose-built models rather than inference. Amazon Bedrock, with guardrails enforced, handles reasoning over policy and exception context, while Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and AWS Step Functions coordinate the five agents through the routing sequence. Amazon Neptune holds corridor and counterparty graph relationships, Amazon ElastiCache serves live FX rates and hot routing context at low latency, Amazon Timestream retains rail performance time-series, and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL stores transactional records. AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) governs role-based access, AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS) provides encryption at rest, and AWS Secrets Manager holds rail and provider credentials. Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, AWS Security Hub, and AWS Control Tower deliver observability, audit logging, and multi-account governance across the estate.
