AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
MARLIN pricing is built around two usage units: Renders and Hits, both counted per month. You buy a named tier that bundles a set monthly allowance of each. The tiers scale from MRLN-FREE through MRLN-BARRACUDA, MRLN-MAKO, MRLN-TUNA, MRLN-SAILFISH, and MRLN-GIANTMARLIN, with each step raising both the Render and Hit allowances together. The standalone Hits/Month and Renders/Month lines let you add individual capacity in blocks of 100,000 Hits or 10,000 Renders. You pick the tier matching your traffic and add extra units as needed.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as a Render versus a Hit for billing?
A Hit is a single request handled by the CDN service. A Render is a request that triggers image compression and optimization work. MARLIN counts both separately each month. Renders reflect heavier processing, so tiers include far fewer Renders than Hits.
Which metric drives my cost, Renders or Hits, and how do they combine?
Each tier bundles both a Render allowance and a Hit allowance for the month. You do not pay per metric separately within a tier. Your usage must stay under both caps. Whichever limit you reach first determines when you need more capacity.
What happens if I exceed the Renders or Hits included in my tier?
You can add capacity using the standalone lines. The Hits/Month line adds blocks of 100,000 Hits. The Renders/Month line adds blocks of 10,000 Renders. You can also move to a named tier with more of both. Tier changes are not automatic.
