Overview
Who this is for
Marketing and digital agencies hosting many client sites, publishers, and online stores in Canada, the United States and Europe that deliver web, image and API traffic through Amazon CloudFront. The buyer is the CTO, Head of Hosting or engineering lead.
The problem
Each distribution was configured once by whoever launched the site. Cache policies diverge, hit ratios fall, origins change without failover, certificates near expiry go unnoticed, and edge functions are edited directly in production. Errors at the edge surface as client complaints.
What we deliver
Onboarding. We inventory every distribution, origin, cache and origin request policy, certificate and edge function, standardize policies where possible, and set alarms on error rates, latency and origin health.
Monthly operations. Our engineers respond to delivery incidents, tune cache keys and policies for hit ratio, set up origin failover, manage certificates through AWS Certificate Manager, and move edge function changes through review and staging.
Portfolio care. For agencies, new client sites are onboarded from a standard template, and each client's traffic and errors are reported separately.
Reporting. A monthly report covers availability, cache hit ratio, error rates, certificate status and data transfer by distribution.
Security rules and their tuning stay with our AWS WAF bot protection rollout listing, while this listing runs caching, origins, certificates and delivery performance. For full platform ownership, see Cloud & Platform Managed Services (MSP).
AWS services integrated
Amazon CloudFront (cache and origin request policies, origin groups, CloudFront Functions, Lambda@Edge, real-time logs), AWS Certificate Manager, Amazon Route 53, Amazon S3, Elastic Load Balancing, AWS WAF, Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail.
Outcomes
- Edge errors and latency spikes are caught by alarms before clients call.
- Cache hit ratios improve through standard, tuned policies.
- Certificates and origins are managed, with failover where it matters.
- Edge function changes go through review instead of straight to production.
Evidence
Dedicatted holds the AWS Service Delivery validations for Amazon CloudFront and AWS WAF and is in the AWS Managed Service Provider Program. We are standardizing delivery across dozens of CloudFront distributions for a Canadian marketing agency's client sites, and for Collectr, a collectibles app used by millions, rules are enforced at the edge through Amazon CloudFront and AWS WAF, as published by AWS in a case study.
Where we deliver
Dedicatted is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and AWS Managed Service Provider headquartered in Toronto and Montreal, Canada. It is the first Canadian partner to hold both AWS AI Competencies (Generative AI and Agentic AI) and the first and only Canadian AWS Partner to hold the AWS Digital Sovereignty Services Competency. We deliver across Canada, the United States and Europe, in English and French, and support Canadian data residency in the AWS Canada (Central) and Canada West (Calgary) Regions.
AWS infrastructure charges
AWS bills you for CloudFront requests and data transfer, CloudFront Functions and Lambda@Edge, real-time logs, Route 53, S3 and CloudWatch. Public certificates from AWS Certificate Manager used with CloudFront have no charge. We work through IAM roles you create.
