TCS 5A Framework for Responsible AI© enables customers adopt Responsible AI practices effortlessly on AWS Cloud. Leveraging AWS services, including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker Clarify, and SageMaker Model Monitor along with AWS serverless architecture and data processing capabilities, this framework ensures that AI/Generative AI applications and enterprises adhere to TCS Responsible AI SAFTI tenets© (Secure & Reliable, Accountable, Fair & Ethical, Transparent & Explainable , and Identity & Privacy Protection).

The framework comprises five stages: Assess, Analyze, Align, Act, and Audit. Solutions built on this framework implement Responsible AI principles by progressing through these stages, ensuring a methodical and effective adoption process. Each stage reflects the necessity of following a structured approach to implementing Responsible AI, rather than directly defining guardrails. This ensures that risks are thoroughly evaluated, mitigations are contextually defined, and then policies are implemented.

Stages of TCS 5A Framework for Responsible AI:

1. Assess: Aligned with the target AI/GenAI application and customer’s regulatory and security strategies, assess Responsible AI posture and identify areas for improvement.
2. Analyze: Generate contextual risk mitigations tailored to customer’s business and technical landscape, addressing fairness, bias detection, explainability, and security compliance.
3. Align: The above mitigations are translated into configurable Responsible AI policies. By accessing a continuously updated repository, the framework offers industry-specific policy templates tailored for AWS cloud.
4. Act: Responsible AI guardrails are created based on the inputs defined in the above Responsible AI policies. The framework simplifies the process of selecting and applying the right Responsible AI tool for the required guardrail, using a unified interface to streamline operations and thereby accelerate deployment.
5. Audit: Tracks Responsible AI metrics through custom dashboards, offering real-time insights and ensuring ongoing compliance throughout the AI lifecycle.
