The FinCleanse Transaction Enrichment and Categorization API converts raw financial transaction descriptions into structured, normalized data. The API identifies merchants, standardizes merchant names, and assigns transaction categories so fintechs, banks, and credit unions can build analytics, personalization, and insights on reliable transaction data. FinCleanse operates using only transaction descriptions and metadata - no personally identifiable information (PII) is required.
The FinCleanse Transaction Enrichment and Categorization API is designed for fintechs, banks, and credit unions that need reliable, structured transaction data. Raw transaction descriptions are often inconsistent, difficult to interpret, and challenging to analyze at scale. FinCleanse transforms these raw descriptions into normalized merchant names and structured transaction categories that can be easily queried and analyzed.
Using the FinCleanse API, developers and data teams can quickly enrich financial transactions with standardized merchant information and category classifications. This enables accurate analytics, customer insights, and downstream product features such as spending analysis, financial health tools, behavioral insights, and personalization.
FinCleanse operates using transaction descriptions and related metadata only. No personally identifiable information (PII) is required to perform transaction enrichment, allowing organizations to integrate the platform while minimizing privacy and compliance risk.
The FinCleanse Transaction Enrichment API allows teams to focus on building financial products instead of spending time cleaning transaction data. With normalized merchant data and consistent categorization, organizations can unlock more reliable analytics, improved customer insights, and better financial experiences.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract pricing has two parts that work together. You pay a base Platform Fee, which includes 1 million transactions during your term. If you enrich more than 1 million transactions, you pay for the additional volume through the Transactions dimension. That second dimension scales with your usage beyond the included amount. So your total cost combines the fixed platform fee plus any overage for extra transactions processed by the API.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one transaction for billing beyond the included 1 million?
One transaction is a single raw transaction record submitted for enrichment. Each record returns merchant identification, entity extraction, and standardized categorization. A single API request can include up to 20 transactions, but each record still counts individually toward your total volume.
What happens to my cost if I exceed the 1 million transactions included in the Platform Fee?
You keep the fixed Platform Fee, which covers the first 1 million transactions. Any records beyond that threshold bill through the Transactions dimension. Only the extra volume above 1 million is charged; the included amount is not re-billed. Overage scales with the number of additional transactions processed.
Which dimension drives most of my bill?
The base Platform Fee is fixed and always applies. If your volume stays at or under 1 million transactions, the Platform Fee is your only cost. Once volume passes 1 million, the Transactions dimension grows with usage and can drive the larger share of the bill.
