You pay by the hour for CentOS Stream 10 Minimal with vendor support, billed per running EC2 instance. Pricing is not tiered by plan. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, from small burstable sizes up to large compute, memory, storage, GPU, and bare-metal options. The software rate is tied to the instance you choose and runs alongside standard AWS infrastructure charges. Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select. You are billed per hour that instance runs. Each instance counts separately, so five running instances of the same type accrue five hourly software charges. The software rate applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure charges.
The hourly software charge applies only while an instance runs. Stopped instances do not accrue software charges. You may still owe AWS for attached storage on a stopped instance, but the vendor software meter tracks running time only.
