This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support with a 24-hour response time. CentOS Stream 10, delivered as a minimal x86_64 installation, is included in this AMI, repackaged by Easycloud. It provides a lean, continuously delivered enterprise Linux platform tracking the RHEL 10 development branch, deliberately engineered to keep your infrastructure aligned with the next generation of the Red Hat ecosystem.
Core Features & Integrations
CentOS Stream 10 Foundation: Provides a robust, enterprise-grade underlying OS with deep structural alignment to RHEL, ensuring high security and seamless ecosystem compatibility with AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, and traditional CentOS deployments.
CentOS Stream 10 (x86_64 Minimal): A continuously delivered distribution that tracks just ahead of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, delivering the packages that ship in future RHEL 10 point releases before they land downstream. The minimal installation includes only the essential components required to boot and operate the system, keeping the image lean and the attack surface small.
Key Benefits
Next-Generation RHEL Platform: CentOS Stream 10 tracks the leading edge of the RHEL 10 development branch, giving teams early access to the same packages that will ship in future RHEL 10 point releases. This provides a predictable upgrade path and broad compatibility with the Red Hat software ecosystem across development, staging, and production workloads.
Ideal Foundation for Modern Cloud Infrastructure: By starting with a bloat-free CentOS Stream 10 minimal installation, maximum CPU and memory are dedicated entirely to your own workloads. This makes it the perfect, conflict-free foundation for web and application hosting including Nginx, Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, HAProxy, and WordPress, as well as data layers built on MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch. It seamlessly integrates with modern runtimes and container platforms (Python, Node.js, OpenJDK, Docker, Kubernetes), and serves as a rock-solid backbone for DevOps and observability stacks (Jenkins, HashiCorp Vault, Grafana, Prometheus, RabbitMQ), ensuring your enterprise Linux infrastructure scales without limits.
Production Ready & Expert Support: Secured with the latest OS patches. It delivers a highly stable environment, fully supported by comprehensive documentation and fast technical assistance (guaranteed 24-hour response time) to ensure your infrastructure runs smoothly without costly downtime.

Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.

See AWS Free Tier for more details. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for CentOS Stream 10 Minimal with vendor support, billed per running EC2 instance. Pricing is not tiered by plan. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, from small burstable sizes up to large compute, memory, storage, GPU, and bare-metal options. The software rate is tied to the instance you choose and runs alongside standard AWS infrastructure charges. Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates, so your cost scales with the compute capacity you select. You can switch instance types as your needs change.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one billable unit for the hourly software charge?
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select. You are billed per hour that instance runs. Each instance counts separately, so five running instances of the same type accrue five hourly software charges. The software rate applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure charges.
Am I charged the software fee when my instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge applies only while an instance runs. Stopped instances do not accrue software charges. You may still owe AWS for attached storage on a stopped instance, but the vendor software meter tracks running time only.
What support does the hourly charge include beyond the operating system itself?
The charge covers the CentOS Stream 10 Minimal image with vendor support from Easycloud. The vendor also offers security hardening aligned to CIS Benchmarks and compliance help for mandates like PCI-DSS and HIPAA. Confirm exact support scope directly with the vendor before you rely on it.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
