Overview
Amazon Connect Core Foundation Architecture
Amazon Connect routes customer interactions to browser-based agents while AWS services integrate client data, process contact events, and securely retain recordings and interaction context.
Amazon Connect Core Foundation Implementation is a fixed-scope professional services engagement that deploys a production-ready Amazon Connect contact center in four weeks. Designed for organizations seeking to modernize legacy PBX hardware and per-seat contact center platforms, the engagement establishes a scalable AWS-native environment that supports remote agents, improves operational visibility, and creates a foundation for future expansion. Klika Tech configures the essential components required to operate the contact center, including inbound and outbound voice, phone numbers, queues, routing profiles, contact flows, and the browser-based Amazon Connect Agent Workspace. The resulting environment gives agents a consistent experience for managing customer interactions while providing supervisors and administrators with the controls needed to manage day-to-day operations.
The implementation also enables Amazon Contact Lens to support real-time transcription, sentiment analysis, and automated redaction of sensitive information. Recording and AI-analysis disclosures, customer opt-out handling, and auditable consent records are incorporated to help customers maintain governed operations without disrupting service. Recordings and transcripts are retained in Amazon S3 using server-side encryption and lifecycle policies, keeping contact center data under the customer’s control and ready to support operational and audit requirements.
To provide agents with relevant customer context, Klika Tech integrates Amazon Connect with CRM platforms that have supported connectors, including Salesforce, Zendesk, and ServiceNow. Amazon AppFlow and Amazon EventBridge support the exchange of information between systems, while Amazon Connect Customer Profiles can surface caller information directly within the contact center experience. AWS Lambda and Amazon DynamoDB can be used to preserve interaction context throughout the customer journey. Custom-built connectors and integrations with on-premises systems are not included in the core engagement and are scoped separately.
The environment is delivered as Infrastructure as Code using AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK), enabling repeatable deployment and controlled change. At the completion of the engagement, customers receive a production Amazon Connect environment, supported CRM integration, the AWS CDK repository, an operational cost calculator, and documentation for supervisors and administrators. Together, these deliverables provide both the operational system and the supporting materials needed for an effective transition to the customer’s team.
The core implementation is also designed to provide a stable base for continued contact center modernization. Separately scoped expansion options can include agentic AI self-service and agent assistance, customer authentication and anti-fraud controls, HIPAA hardening, branded calling, digital messaging channels, and real-time operational dashboards. These capabilities can be introduced as business requirements evolve without changing the scope or delivery expectations of the core foundation.
NOTE: AWS service consumption, telephony, phone numbers, data storage, and other infrastructure charges are billed separately by AWS and are not included in the professional services engagement. Post-launch managed operations and ongoing enhancement services are also available through a separate engagement.
