Overview
The Computer Vision Enabled Yard Management System: Zero-Cost Proof of Concept (POC) by NAVA Software Solutions helps logistics and supply chain organizations automate visibility and operations across yards and distribution centers. Leveraging the AWS Intelligent Yard Management architecture, this POC demonstrates how computer vision (CV) and data analytics can optimize ground operations, identify inefficiencies, and improve throughput using live camera feeds and predictive insights.
The solution combines AWS Kinesis, Amazon SageMaker, AWS IoT Core, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon CloudFront, and Amazon QuickSight to deliver a unified, data-driven view of yard operations. Within the Zero-Cost POC, our team will build and deploy a fully functional prototype using a subset of the customer’s live or historical data.
What’s Included in this Offer
- Assess and Plan – Conduct discovery sessions to understand current yard operations, data sources (IP cameras, logistics systems), and KPIs.
- Configure Data Pipeline – Set up AWS services (Amazon S3, AWS IoT Core, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue) for ingesting and processing real-time data.
- Train and Deploy Computer Vision Model – Use Amazon SageMaker to train a custom model to detect, track, and classify assets (trailers, trucks, containers).
- Deploy Edge Inference – Integrate AWS Kinesis with live IP camera feeds to perform AI inference locally for real-time insights.
- Build Visualization Dashboard – Create a web application hosted on Amazon EC2 and fronted by Amazon CloudFront, with analytics in Amazon QuickSight.
- Demonstrate Insights – Deliver reports on asset movement, idle times, and utilization trends for data-driven decision-making.
How We Deliver the Solution
Phase 1 – Discovery & Setup (Week 1): Requirements gathering, architecture confirmation, and AWS environment setup.
Phase 2 – Model Development (Weeks 2–3): Data annotation and model training using Amazon SageMaker. Validation of model accuracy with customer-provided video samples.
Phase 3 – Deployment & Visualization (Week 4): Edge deployment via AWS Kinesis for real-time object detection. Web dashboard deployment with Amazon EC2, CloudFront, and QuickSight.
Phase 4 – Demonstration & Handover (Week 4): Live demonstration of the AI-enabled yard management dashboard. Deliver documentation, architecture diagrams, and recommendations for production rollout.
All infrastructure is built using AWS managed and serverless services for scalability, cost-efficiency, and security.
