Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the specific ARM-based instance type you run, plus the vendor's support. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each dimension maps to one AWS instance type from the ARM Graviton families, including general-purpose (a1, m6g, t4g), compute-optimized (c6g, c6gn, c6gd), memory-optimized (r6g, r6gd, x2gd), storage-optimized (im4gn, is4gen), and graphics (g5g). Sizes range from nano and medium up to metal. Larger instances cost more per hour because they carry more CPU, memory, or storage. You choose the size that fits your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billing unit (Hrs) cover for each instance type?
One unit equals one hour that a single instance runs. Each dimension maps to one ARM Graviton instance size on AWS. You are billed for each hour that instance stays running, counted per instance. Running two instances of the same type doubles the hourly count.
Am I charged when I stop or pause an instance?
The software charge meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing this hourly software fee. You may still pay underlying AWS fees for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the vendor's per-hour software charge applies only to running time.
Is support included in the hourly price or billed separately?
Vendor support is bundled with each hourly instance charge. You get access to a support team with every product to help launch and resolve issues. There is no separate line item; the support comes with the running instance you choose.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources.
