Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides free and open access to various health related data. This dataset presents the age-adjusted death rates for the 10 leading causes of death in the United States beginning in 1999.
CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats. To accomplish its mission, CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise.
This dataset presents the age-adjusted death rates for the 10 leading causes of death in the United States beginning in 1999. Data are based on information from all resident death certificates filed in the 50 states and the District of Columbia using demographic and medical characteristics. Age-adjusted death rates (per 100,000 population) are based on the 2000 U.S. standard population. Populations used for computing death rates after 2010 are postcensal estimates based on the 2010 census, estimated as of July 1, 2010. Rates for census years are based on populations enumerated in the corresponding censuses. Rates for non-census years before 2010 are revised using updated intercensal population estimates and may differ from rates previously published.
Causes of death classified by the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD–10) are ranked according to the number of deaths assigned to rankable causes. Cause of death statistics are based on the underlying cause of death. This data is anonymized/aggregated.

This product is free. It uses a single dimension, Product Access (Units), which grants you access to the dataset once you subscribe. There are no tiers, usage add-ons, or size-based options to compare. You subscribe and consume the data without any charge. The vendor publishes free, publicly available datasets in a consistent format so you can pull them into your data pipeline.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the Product Access (Units) dimension actually grant me?
It grants you access to the dataset once you subscribe. The unit here is simply the subscription that unlocks the data. It is not counted per user, per record, or per download. One subscription gives you access to consume the published dataset.
Does my cost change as I download more data or add more users?
No. This product is free and uses a single access dimension with no usage-based metering. Downloading more records, adding users, or querying more often does not create any charge. There are no tiers or thresholds that trigger a cost change.
In what format is the data delivered, and do I need extra tooling to use it?
The vendor publishes free, publicly available datasets in a consistent format so you can pull them into your data pipeline. You consume the data through your own cloud-native data tools. The listing itself covers access to the dataset, not the surrounding infrastructure.
