Overview
This is a repackaged open source software wherein additional charges apply for extended support with a 24 hour response time. This is a enterprise-grade linux image with the Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) enabled. It contains just enough packages to run within AWS, bring up a SSH Server and allow users to login. Cloud-init, as well as latest available security updates released by the team are included. Root login is disabled and only the 'ec2-user' user is allowed to connect using ssh public key authentication. VM Pro Support is a trusted managed service provider and consultant partner that helps small and medium sized business start in AWS the secure, well-architected way. We provide the tools and experience to help you scale securely.

One hour equals one running ARM-based instance for one clock hour. Each instance type meters separately at its own hourly rate. If you run several instances, each one accrues its own hourly charge. Partial hours follow standard AWS metering for the instance you launch.
The hourly software rate applies only while an instance runs. Stopped instances do not accrue this software charge. You may still pay AWS for attached storage on a stopped instance, but the AlmaLinux software rate meters running time only.
Yes. Each instance type carries its own hourly software rate. When you launch or resize to a different type, billing follows that type's rate for the hours it runs. Larger types cost more per hour because they provide more compute, memory, or storage.
